I was over the moon when Joost Howard, my graphic designer, informed me that finally Bencho y e Gran Crusada was crossing the ocean heading for Aruba.

After quite some challenges getting the book printed, this was a very joyous moment for me.

Unfortunately there were more challenges awaiting me.

Yes, the covid-19 pandemic was also spreading its wings on Aruba. The pandemic hit the island in a severe way.  

I was in the midst of preparing for a public presentation making the list of friends and book lovers I wanted to invite, when the total lockdown and a list of restrictions were published.

I thanked God for the alternative of social media that made it possible to still reach a broad audience.
